chapter 7 mother's love

In chapter I had got caught for stealing. I was now in a juvenile hall it was very degrading to have to strip down naked in front of officers but after I got processed I took a shower and I got put in my cell and fell asleep. The next day I had a vistor I didn’t know who it was. I walked through the door to see my father. I was glad to see him but then at the same time kind of sad. We talked about mother and how I exposed the family secret. He was feeding me lies about the whole thing that happened with me and mother I put my foot down and I told him to shut up that I didn’t want to hear his lies.  He also told me that mother wanted him to sign these papers. He also mentioned to me about mother was trying to keep me this place for arson. He finally got done talking to me. Then after his dad was done Lilan came to see me she asked me what me and my dad talked about she mentioned some papers I was trying to go back to the talk me and father had so I can remember the papers. Lilan said she would fight for me because she was my foster parent. My mother was trying to keep me in here but Lilan was going to fight for me to be free to come live with her again.

Chapter 6. The defiant one

I was enjoying fitting in with the other kids but i found out everything wasn't as i thought it was exactly perfect i told my self that this would be the last time stealing i felt really weird about going into walgreens an stealing the b-17 Fortess model airplane for johnny jones but i wanted to brave i wanted to feel accepted i know he was in the store watching me. I grabbed it of the store cabinet i had put it umder my shirt i was heading up to the front i was almost to the front this guy in a red vest it was caught he took it out of my hands. I was afraid i never got in trouble i didn't know what to except. About an hour later i went back to lilan's house i heard it from her she told me if i caused anymore more problems she would send me to the hill but i didn't know what the hill was but i knew i was grounded for a week. I thought i would never get caught i finally did it didn't feel horrible now i was just not happy cause i didn't get to steal that b-17 for johnny. After running up to my room i took my savings i ran out the door i was going to the movie theatre.  I had ran away i turned my hunger off i was thinking about shelter it was 11:30. The next day i spent my whole day in the movie theatre. I went to denny's where i salivated as plates of food whizzled by the counter i was hungry. The man watched me for two days he talked to me and i gave him the number to mrs' c phone i eat a burger before rudy came and got me.

chapter 5 Adirft

In this  chapter David is trying to fit in at his new foster home. I fixed my bike and i began stealing candy bars from the grocery store he was stealing them to get attention from the other foster kids and the kids in the neighborhood. I wanted to fit in with because at my old school i didn't have any friends. By stealing the candy bars and sharing them with the kids at the park i fellt accepted. I began stealing larger items such as toys for the older kids to like me and accept me. I didn't think it was wrong because i was making friends. Larry was like a brother he used to play fight with me even tho he kinda didn't really like me that much but we got along. He taught me alot of things while i was living their in the house with him. I went to the doctors to talk  he asked alot about me living in a foster home i answered really slowly. He told me he was a psychiatrist. He ensured me everything we talked to about was just between me and him. He set some ground rules i was kinda of scared of opening up to but i thought if i get to know him i could open up but i didn't feel at all comfortable talking about mother and what happened i wanted to give it some time. A couple days later i was hanging out with larry i rode on my old street we were riding down the street i told larry i had a secret but i said i will tell if u don't tell mrs. C i told him i used to live on this street he asked which house was it i told him the big green one . Then i saw mothers station wagon i didn't want her to see me so i yelled come on hurry up we gotta go. We rode back to mrs. c house.

chapter 4 New beginnings

David’s mom came to visit him at the foster home and she brings his bike. Mrs. gold called me down the stairs after my visit with mother. I asked if I were in trouble she said no she told me that the government sent Mrs. Gold some money for me and she told me that we were going to mall to get some new clothes I was so happy that I could have my own clothes. David noticed that his bike was broken when mother had brought it during her short visit I asked Mrs. Gold if I can earn money for my bike working around the house so I begin working and earning money for my bike I started looking on the bright side of things. I was eating and going to school and I had  people who cared about me and I was feeling good about the decision I had made.

chapter 3 The trial

  It was a long ride with ms gold to the courthouse. Ms Gold told that this would be the biggest decision of my life it would be the decision whether I would be the ward of the state or live back with my mom. Ms Gold insured me that I haven’t did anything wrong I walked into the court house I looked over at mother and my brothers. I was kinda of sad going into the courthouse but I was confused but somewhat scared on the decision I had to make according to Mrs. Gold told me. I sat in the chair the judge had asked me the biggest question I have ever been asked it was going to be the decision that would of effect me for the rest of my life. The judge asked me if I wanted to live with mother or be a ward of the state. I sat there and I thought mother was going to come and get me but then I remember that Mrs. Gold said it wasn’t my fault I told the judge I wanted to be a ward of the state. After we left the courthouse Mrs. Gold took me for some ice cream then she took me back to the foster home. It was going to be the first day of my new life.

chapter 2 an angel named ms gold

After leaving the pizza bar the police officer took me down the station after making phone calls he took to the hospital for an examination. They gave me some cream for my burning hands that mother made them like that. The police officer took me on a long drive the next day to Aunt mary’s foster home. I didn’t know what to expect from this women and the other children. The police officer ensured me that everything was going to be okay and no one would hurt me.  I met my angel ms. Gold she was my social worker she came and talked to me about what mother did sometimes I would not talk she would just hug me. She explained to me that everything we talked about it would be private so no one else would know anything.

The other kids and children got along with me great one day my mother came to see me I was so scared I hid behind aunt mary as aunt mary put her in her place.

chapter 1 the lost boy

In chapter one I talk about my experiences when my mom and his dad were living in the same house together. Like always I was dealing with my mom’s games and arguing his mother’s beatings. My last fight with my mother she told me to get out of her house. I went out the front door running thinking my mother would get in the station wagon and come and get me I kept looking back thinking she would come and get me but she never did. I was so cold I went into the church down the street to get warm for a moment trying to hide from the preacher. Then after I was done I went into the pizza bar I spotted a quarter on the pool table my only thought was I needed that quarter for something to eat so I slowly walked pass the pool table and slid the quarter into my pocket. I was slowly making my way out of the pizza bar when suddenly the owner of the pizza bar comes behind me and tells me I need to give the quarter back I shook my head no.  Before I can tell him a lie the man said I saw you do it. The man explains to me that the guys by the pool table need to play pool so I give the quarter to him. I told him I would buy a piece of pizza with the quarter he explained to me that my mother missed me. He asked me a lot of questions then a police officer arrived at the pizza bar I thought I was in trouble and he insured that I was not in trouble the owner of the pizza bar gave me the

 Pizza he promised me the police officer took me to the station.
